  • 500 g Chicken breast cut into popcorn-sized pieces
  • 100 g Cornstarch for coating
  • 1 ml Binding liquid such as beaten egg or buttermilk
  • 15 ml Olive oil for spraying
  • 5 g Salt to taste
  • 5 g Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the chicken by cutting it into uniform popcorn-sized pieces.
  • Set up a breading station with dry cornstarch, a binding liquid, and additional seasonings.
  • Dip the chicken pieces in the binding liquid followed by rolling them in the cornstarch, ensuring even coverage.
  • Let the coated chicken pieces rest for a few minutes to allow the crust to adhere properly.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 200°C for a few minutes.
  • Place the chicken pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
  • Cook for about 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 74°C.
  • Let the chicken rest for a minute before serving with your favorite dipping sauces.

Tip: Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure a crispy texture.
