Air Fryer Ranch Mushrooms: Crispy, Flavorful Bites
These ranch-dusted mushrooms turn out crispy on the outside and tender on the inside in under 15 minutes. The air fryer keeps the extra fat away while still giving you that delicious flavor. Trust me, I’ve burned a batch or two in my early days—now I've got the timing down for reliable crunch every time.
500gMushroomswhite button or cremini, cleaned and dried well
15mlOlive oilneutral oil for coating
10gRanch seasoningstore-bought or homemade
30gParmesan cheesefor sprinkling at the end
Instructions
Start with a quick wipe to remove any dirt; avoid soaking mushrooms. Trim stems if needed, and pat them dry completely. Toss the caps with a light coating of oil and sprinkle with ranch seasoning, ensuring a thin, even layer.
Preheat the air fryer to 190°C. Spread the mushrooms in a single layer, giving them room to breathe. Cook for about 8–12 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping halfway through for even browning.
If you like a stronger crust, finish at 205°C for an extra 2–3 minutes.
Mushrooms are done when the edges are golden brown and crisp, with a tender center. They should not feel soggy or wet inside.
For a cheesy finish, sprinkle some parmesan in the last 1–2 minutes of cooking or right after you take them from the air fryer.
Notes
Tip: Dry mushrooms thoroughly and avoid overcrowding the basket; air needs to circulate. Preheating helps get that initial sear, so don’t stack too many at once.
