APPLE FRITTER BITES

Apple Fritter Bites

Apple fritter bites evoke a sense of nostalgia, especially in the fall when apples are fresh. The warm, inviting aroma reminds me of my grandmother's kitchen and draws everyone in.

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Deep pan
  • Slotted Spoon

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 250 g All-purpose flour
  • 15 g Baking powder
  • 3 g Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  • 2 g Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
  • 100 g Sugar 1/2 cup
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 120 ml Milk 1/2 cup
  • 300 g Apples peeled and diced, about 2 cups

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, whisk the eggs and milk. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then gently fold in your diced apples.
  • Scoop spoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let them cool a little before serving!
  • For a deep-fried version, heat oil in a deep pan to 180°C (350°F). Make your batter as described earlier and carefully drop spoonfuls into the hot oil. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they’re golden and crispy.
  • Use a slotted spoon to transfer them to paper towels to drain any excess oil.

Notes

Tip: For fluffy fritter bites, avoid overmixing your batter and ensure the oil is at the right temperature.
