Equipment

  • Large Skillet

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 500 g Lean ground beef browned
  • 4 pcs Eggs cracked into wells
  • 200 g Masa harina or corn-like layer
  • 150 g Cheese shredded, for topping
  • 5 g Chili powder or to taste
  • 5 g Cumin or to taste
  • 2 g Garlic powder or fresh minced
  • 5 g Salt to taste
  • 50 g Cilantro fresh, for garnish
  • 1 pc Chili pepper optional, for spice

Instructions

  • Start by heating a large skillet over medium-high heat and browning the beef until it's nicely caramelized, about 6–8 minutes. Break it apart as you cook and season generously with salt, pepper, and your spices.
  • Move the beef to the edges and create small wells in the center; crack the eggs into the wells and cook until the whites just set, about 4–6 minutes.
  • Sprinkle cheese on top, cover to let it melt, and finish with a quick simmer or gentle bake to meld the flavors. Optionally, for a crispy finish, pop it under a hot broiler for 1–2 minutes, and top it off with fresh herbs.

Notes

Tip: For extra crispy edges, finish the dish in an air fryer or under a broiler. Avoid overcrowding the pan when cooking to ensure crispy edges.
