Instructions
Preheat the oven to 150 °C.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Season the brisket with salt and pepper, then sear it on all sides until browned.
Transfer the brisket to a roasting pan and layer the onions and garlic on top.
In a bowl, mix together the beef broth, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and smoked paprika.
Pour this mixture over the brisket.
Cover the pan tightly with foil and bake for 3–4 hours, or until the brisket is nice and tender.
Remove from the oven, let it rest for 15 minutes, then shred it with forks.
Notes
Tip: Make sure to let the brisket rest before slicing to ensure a good sear. You can also cook it a day ahead; just reheat it before serving.
