  • 4 Stale croissants torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 Eggs
  • 500 ml Milk
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 150 g Chocolate chips
  • 10 g Powdered sugar for dusting, optional
  • 30 ml Vanilla extract optional
  • 30 ml Coffee optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 175°C.
  • Grease a baking dish and tear the croissants into bite-sized pieces, placing them in the dish.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, and chocolate chips.
  • Pour the mixture evenly over the croissants and let them soak for about 15 minutes.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden and slightly puffed.
  • Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Tip: Let the croissants absorb the custard for that irresistible gooeyness. Avoid using fresh croissants as they won’t absorb the custard properly.
