Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 Cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tsp baking powder
  • 8 Oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 Cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 Cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions
 

  • Freeze mozzarella cubes for 30 minutes (prevents melting too quickly).
  • Set up breading station: 1) flour + garlic powder, 2) beaten eggs, 3) panko + Parmesan + Italian seasoning.
  • Dredge each cheese cube: flour → egg → breadcrumb mixture (press firmly to adhere). For extra crunch, repeat egg and breadcrumb steps.
  • Heat oil to 375°F (190°C). Fry bites in batches for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  • Serve immediately with warm marinara sauce. For air fryer version: Cook at 400°F for 8-10 minutes.

Notes

Freeze unbreaded cheese cubes for up to 1 month - perfect for last-minute appetizers! For best results, maintain oil temperature and don't overcrowd the pan.
