This indulgent tiramisu features rich layers of mascarpone cream, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, and a dusting of cocoa for a delightful dessert experience.
In a shallow dish, combine the cooled coffee and coffee liqueur (if you’re using it). Set this aside.
In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until it forms soft peaks.
In another bowl, mix the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until you achieve a smooth texture.
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until everything is fully combined.
Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for about 1-2 seconds, but be careful not to soak them.
Layer half of the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of your serving dish.
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
Repeat the process with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best flavor.
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
Notes
This tiramisu is a wonderful make-ahead dessert. You can put it together a day in advance and keep it in the fridge. Letting it sit overnight helps the flavors combine and gives it a perfect texture.
