  • 4 units Tortillas
  • 300 g Deli roast beef thinly sliced
  • 200 g Cheese your choice, shredded
  • 500 ml Beef broth for the au jus
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch optional for thickening
  • 1 tbsp Water for cornstarch slurry
  • 1 pinch Seasonings to taste

Instructions
 

  • Start by laying out your tortillas and evenly spreading a light filling of protein and cheese. Roll them up tightly, seal the seam, and slice them into bite-sized rounds or log-shaped pinwheels.
  • For your au jus, mix beef broth with seasonings and let it simmer gently. Thicken if desired with a cornstarch slurry.
  • Oven method: Preheat your oven to 175 °C. Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet, seam side down, and bake for 12–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and edges are crisp.
  • Air Fryer method: Preheat your air fryer to 190 °C. Place the rolls in a single layer and air fry for 6–8 minutes until golden.
  • Let the rolls rest for a couple of minutes before serving to allow the cheese to set.

Notes

Tip: To avoid soggy rolls, don’t overfill the tortillas and ensure they are wrapped tightly.
