Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Oven
  • Large Skillet

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 500 g Ground meat beef, turkey, or plant-based option
  • 1 loaf Garlic bread or a sturdy loaf
  • 400 g Tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 100 g Cheese mozzarella or provolone, shredded
  • 15 ml Olive oil for sautéing
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 5 g Italian herbs to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 175 °C (350 °F). In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and brown the ground meat with the chopped onion and minced garlic.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce and Italian herbs. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Slice the garlic bread in half, top it with the meat mixture, and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  • Place the halves in the air fryer and cook for 6–10 minutes, until the cheese melts and the edges are crispy.
  • Alternatively, preheat your oven to 175 °C (350 °F), prepare the garlic bread, top with the meat sauce and cheese, and bake for 12–15 minutes.
  • If desired, broil for the last 1–2 minutes for ultra-crispy edges.

Notes

Tip: Don’t overload the bread with too much sauce to avoid sogginess. If your filling seems a bit dry, stir in a splash of tomato sauce or broth.
