400gTomato sauceor crushed tomatoes
1mediumOnionchopped
100gCheesemozzarella or provolone, shredded
15mlOlive oilfor sautéing
3clovesGarlicminced
5gItalian herbsto taste
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 175 °C (350 °F). In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and brown the ground meat with the chopped onion and minced garlic.
Stir in the tomato sauce and Italian herbs. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes.
Slice the garlic bread in half, top it with the meat mixture, and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
Place the halves in the air fryer and cook for 6–10 minutes, until the cheese melts and the edges are crispy.
Alternatively, preheat your oven to 175 °C (350 °F), prepare the garlic bread, top with the meat sauce and cheese, and bake for 12–15 minutes.
If desired, broil for the last 1–2 minutes for ultra-crispy edges.
Notes
Tip: Don’t overload the bread with too much sauce to avoid sogginess. If your filling seems a bit dry, stir in a splash of tomato sauce or broth.
