  • 2 pieces Chicken breasts pounded to about 1/2 inch thick
  • 50 g Grated parmesan cheese
  • 50 g Breadcrumbs or almond flour for a lower-carb crust
  • 1 large Egg
  • 15 ml Water
  • 5 g Garlic powder
  • 5 g Italian seasoning
  • 3 g Salt
  • 1 g Black pepper
  • Olive oil spray
  • Optional lemon zest, marinara for dipping or a light butter-lemon finish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the air fryer to 182°C and lightly mist the basket with oil.
  • Pound the chicken to an even thickness and season it with salt and pepper.
  • Whisk the egg with water in a shallow dish. In another dish, mix together the parmesan, breadcrumbs or almond flour, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  • Dip each piece of chicken in the egg, then press it into the parmesan mixture until evenly coated.
  • Place the coated chicken in the air fryer basket, spray lightly with oil, and cook for 8–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until the crust turns golden and the internal temperature reaches 74°C.
  • Let it rest briefly, then serve with a wedge of lemon or a drizzle of marinara for dipping.

Notes

Tip: Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure the chicken gets crispy. Also, don’t skip the preheating step!
