Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Measuring Cups
  • Measuring Spoons

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 500 g Chicken breasts boneless, skinless
  • 250 ml Cream or dairy-free alternative
  • 15 ml Olive oil for cooking
  • 1 pinch Salt to taste
  • 1 pinch Black pepper to taste
  • 50 g Parmesan cheese grated, optional
  • 30 g Fresh herbs like parsley or basil, for garnish
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 200 ml Chicken stock or vegetable stock
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice to taste

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the chicken stock and cream to the skillet, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  • Add the chicken back to the skillet and simmer for an additional 10-12 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F) and the sauce has thickened.
  • Finish with lemon juice, and adjust seasoning if necessary. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Tip: Be careful not to overcook the chicken to prevent it from becoming dry. Also, taking your time to let the sauce simmer ensures a richer flavor.
