Mashed potato cheese puffs are a tasty mix of creamy mashed potatoes and melted cheese, shaped into bite-sized pieces that are either baked or fried until they turn golden brown and crispy. They make great snacks or side dishes and have become a favorite comfort food thanks to their cheesy flavor and fluffy inside.
In a bowl, mix the mashed potatoes, cheese, egg, and seasoning until well blended.
Scoop about 30g of the mixture and shape it into a ball. Roll in breadcrumbs for added crunch.
Place the puffs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they don’t touch.
Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are crispy and golden.
Allow them to cool slightly before serving—they’ll be hot and cheesy!
Notes
Tip: Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket—chilling the puffs in the fridge for about 30 minutes before cooking helps them hold their shape better.
