Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Spatula
  • Parchment paper

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 500 g Cooked chicken shredded or diced
  • 150 g Shredded cheese melt-friendly blend
  • 2 clove Garlic minced
  • 50 g Cream cheese or mayo as binder
  • 4 pieces Tortillas large flour ones preferred
  • 15 ml Cooking oil for pan-frying
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • splash Lemon juice optional
  • to taste Paprika optional

Instructions

  • Start by shredding or dicing the chicken and mincing the garlic. Prep your cheese so it’s easy to scoop and spread. Warm your tortillas for flexibility.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, quickly sauté the garlic to bring out its aroma, then add the chicken and any vegetables you want. Mix in your cheesy binder and heat just until the cheese starts melting and everything is well combined.
  • Center the filling on each tortilla, fold in the sides, then roll tightly from the bottom to the top. Place the seam side down.
  • Heat a tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place the rolls seam-side down and cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 2–3 minutes. Flip and cook the other side until crispy and the cheese is melted inside, another 2–4 minutes.
  • Let them rest for a minute before slicing.

Notes

Tip: If the wrap bursts open, it might be due to a filling that was too wet or a tortilla that wasn’t sealed well. To fix it, dry the filling slightly and re-seal the wrap with a quick fry.
