  • 500 g Potatoes peeled
  • 200 g Cheese cheddar or mozzarella, grated
  • 125 g Breadcrumbs
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C for baking, or heat oil in a deep fryer to 175°C for frying.
  • Peel and boil the potatoes for about 15 minutes until soft; then drain and let cool.
  • Mash the potatoes until smooth, then mix in the cheese, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
  • Shape the mixture into sticks and coat them in breadcrumbs.
  • For baking, place on a greased baking sheet and bake for about 20-25 minutes until golden. If frying, cook in oil for 3-4 minutes on each side until crispy.

Notes

Tip: To keep your sticks crispy, avoid making the potato mixture too wet and ensure to chill formed sticks before cooking.
