  • Mixing Bowl
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Pineapple peeled and cut into rings or chunks
  • 100 ml Rum for soaking
  • 50 g Sugar for coating
  • 30 g Cornstarch for coating
  • 15 ml Oil for spraying

Instructions

  • Soak the pineapple pieces in rum for a brief period to enhance the flavor, then pat dry to reduce extra liquid.
  • Coat the pineapple lightly with a thin layer of cornstarch to promote crispness.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 177°C for about 3–5 minutes.
  • Arrange the pineapple in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd it.
  • Air fry at 177°C for 8–12 minutes, turning halfway through, until the coating is crisp and lightly caramelized.
  • Lightly spray the coated pineapple with oil or brush a tiny amount onto each piece to encourage nice browning.

Notes

Tip: If you want a lighter option, skip the heavy batter and go for a dusting of cornstarch or a quick flour-starch mix.
