Salisbury Steak Meatballs

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thicker gravy)

Instructions
 

  • Mix beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire, and seasonings. Form into 1.5-inch meatballs.
  • Heat oil in a skillet. Brown meatballs on all sides (5-6 mins). Remove and set aside
  • Sauté mushrooms and onions until soft. Add broth and simmer 5 mins.
  • Return meatballs to skillet. Simmer 10 mins until cooked through. Thicken gravy with cornstarch if desired.
  • Serve hot over mashed potatoes or noodles.

Notes

For extra richness, stir in a splash of heavy cream at the end.
