  • 200 g Dark chocolate high quality, chopped
  • 150 g Butter unsalted
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 100 g All-purpose flour
  • 50 g Cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 100 g Caramel sauce for topping
  • 50 g Chopped nuts optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking pan.
  • Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a mixing bowl over a simmering pot of water.
  • Once melted, remove from heat and whisk in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Sift in the flour and cocoa powder, mixing until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool completely before topping with caramel sauce and chopped nuts.

Tip: Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing; this will help them set and make cutting easier.
