Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 500 g Ground meat of your choice
  • 150 g Fresh spinach chopped, squeezed of moisture
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 100 g Mozzarella cheese cut into small cubes
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 15 ml Olive oil for sealing and browning

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 190°C.
  • In a bowl, mix together chopped spinach, minced garlic, and ground meat with salt and pepper.
  • Shape the mixture into balls, creating a pocket in each to insert a cube of mozzarella. Seal the pocket securely.
  • Place the meatballs on a baking sheet with space in between. Bake for about 18–22 minutes until they are browned and reach an internal temperature of 74°C.
  • Let the meatballs rest for a few minutes before serving to help redistribute the juices.

Notes

Tip: If you want an extra crispy finish, switch to the broiler for 1–2 minutes at the end, watching closely to prevent the cheese from oozing out.
