  • 2 large Eggs
  • 180 ml Vegetable oil
  • 60 ml Buttermilk or milk with vinegar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 20 g Red food coloring

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C. Line a baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, sugar, vegetable oil, buttermilk, vanilla extract, and red food coloring. Whisk until well incorporated.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for about 25 minutes or until the edges are set and a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs.
  • Let the bites cool in the pan before slicing into neat portions.

Tip: Let the bites cool completely for clean cuts and presentation. You can customize by adding cream cheese filling or white chocolate if desired.
