  • 200 g Sliced turkey
  • 60 g Basil pesto
  • 4 slice Bread sturdy sandwich type like sourdough or whole-grain
  • 100 g Cheese optional, any meltable type
  • 100 g Lettuce or arugula
  • 100 g Tomato sliced
  • 15 ml Olive oil for toasting

Instructions
 

  • Assemble the sandwich with pesto, turkey, cheese if using, and any greens you enjoy. Butter the outside of the bread lightly for a golden crust.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat until it’s hot, then grill the sandwich for about 2–3 minutes on each side, pressing gently to melt the cheese and toast the bread.
  • If using an air fryer, preheat to 190°C and cook the assembled sandwich for about 4–6 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy.

Notes

Tip: Avoid overstuffing the sandwich to keep it easy to slice and eat. Letting it rest after cooking helps everything settle.
